Our Mission:

Safe Teen Driver Online provides parents with peace of mind that the community is watching after their new driver. Teens are held accountable for their actions so they become safe and responsible drivers.

About the Program:

You sat by the side of your new teen driver during their permit period. Now they are a licensed driver out there alone. They don't have to be alone with a window sticker from Safe Teen Driver Online. Your sticker with a personal identification number asks, "Am I Driving Safely? Email my parents at safeteendriveronline.com." Patrons of the road can report positive or negative behavior of your teen driver directly and confidentially to you via email. This allows you to help correct potentially dangerous driving habits before your teen is issued a costly, insurance-increasing ticket, or worse yet, causes an accident.

• Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for teenagers.
• From 1996 through 2005, nearly 64,000 young people aged 15-20 died in traffic crashes, more than 122 each week.
• Teen drivers represent less than 7 percent of the driving population, but account for more than 13 percent of drivers involved in all deadly crashes.
• More than 21 percent of all highway fatalities occur in crashes that involve teen drivers.
